Wai Sing

Campaign Ambassador, Rucker with Lion City Ruckers

Mental burdens are very invisible. The longer you ruck, the more you realise how many invisible burdens people carry. The question is: how can we help them?

Long before Wai Sing knew the term 'rucking', he was already doing it. In secondary school, it was called 'hiking' with the Scouts.; in the Army, it was 'route march'.

Today, Wai Sing is an active member of Lion City Ruckers, a rucking community that comes together not just to work out, but also to give back. Last year, he volunteered with Care Corner Uplift For Life Ruckathon, where he completed an 81km ruck alongside fellow fundraisers, journeying across the regions where Care Corner operates.

He has also taken part in meaningful initiatives such as the Santa Ruck, where they carried toys to gift children from vulnerable families, as well as rucks supporting breast cancer awareness and honouring fallen military heroes.

To Wai Sing, rucking mirrors life: everyone carries burdens, and most are very invisible. By rucking for a good cause, he hopes people can recognise that "there are people with invisible burdens—how can we help them?"
